When Ron Wilder is not writing fiction, he serves as a strategic advisor, coach, and teacher to business leaders worldwide. Through his company, Aligned Action, Inc. Ron works with CEOs, business owners, executives, and entrepreneurs to grow their companies, navigate complex strategic change, and develop the business acumen and mindset necessary for success. Ron’s first book, Aligned Action: The Key to CEO Effectiveness, was published in 2011.
Ron is known as a powerful teacher around the concept of The Big Missing™. This idea is a duality. Part of what is missing in our society right now is a groundswell of entrepreneurial activity that will create growth, innovation, and prosperity. Yet it is not enough to say “we need more entrepreneurship in our society” – we must also say “I need more of the entrepreneur inside me to come out into the world.” There is no business growth that does not first start with an individual getting stronger.
Ron holds a B.S. in Physics from Emory University and a M.S. in Engineering-Economic Systems from Stanford University. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserve and deployed to the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm.
Ron is an active practitioner and student of the martial arts, including Hapkido, Tai Chi, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and also enjoys playing classical piano. He lives outside of Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife and two daughters.
Ron writes extensively on business, leadership, and The Big Missing™ at his blog, found at www.alignedaction.com and is available for speaking and coaching engagements.
